Welcome to The Turnaround’s 52 Days of Prayer!
Introduction
It is Day 51! Fifty one days of talking intimately with our Creator on behalf of our nation. Today, not only is our nation prayed over, you are prayed for. Let’s finish strong in prayer.
Insight
There’s a house atop the side of a cliff at a nearby lake that is quite a sight to behold – and it’s not because of its exterior beauty, but due to its unusual appearance. This house has fallen sideways…sitting at a downward tilt! Because of its faulty foundation, the house had shifted and given way.
As we have been laboring in prayer on behalf of our nation and the Church, it’s an overwhelming comfort to know that we are building (and being built) upon a Firm Foundation, our Savior and eternal Rock. Brothers and sisters, may we continually remind ourselves that all-knowing God is the Great I AM and sovereign over all things.
As we continue to fight this good fight of faith, we can trust in Him through every moment, every day. Strength to soar like the eagle comes from relying and building upon the true Rock.
Pause and seriously consider where you have been placing your hope. Choose to turn away from living out of your limited understanding and power, and fully place your hope and trust in our God and Father of all.
Today, let’s pray for our nation and the Church to build our lives on Christ, our Firm Foundation.
TURNAROUND QUESTION
Are you trusting in your efforts more than Christ through you?
Who’s wisdom are you most often relying on – yours, the “experts,” or God’s?
PRAYER
Gracious and wise Father, my hope is in You. You are good and Your mercy endures forever! When I consider all that You have made, Your glorious power, and Your patient restraint, I am overwhelmed. I praise You for Your goodness and love that never fails. Align our hearts and minds with Your wise purposes. May we build Your wisdom and truth into the fabric of all our dwelling places. Yes, may Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. I ask in the name of Jesus, amen.
