Introduction
Nehemiah’s journey to rebuild Jerusalem began with prayer and he intentionally aligned his heart with our Father’s, and stepped into his identity as the Children of Israel and rebuilt the borders of Jerusalem which brought about great revival.
Today, in America, as in Nehemiah, we see both moral and physical decay. If America’s children can survive the mother’s womb, can the child survive the public classroom? America, once founded on Judeo-Christian values, now embraces godlessness, idol self-worship, and the children suffer. Peter understood the power of prayer and his identity as a holy nation and a royal priesthood and he revolutionized his culture. We, as the faithful remnant of Christ, must walk in this truth, to see the “turnaround” we desire, and activate the power of God to rule and reign on this earth!
INSIGHT
Jesus paid the price for our salvation. When we accept Jesus as our living Savior, we are now His subjects of His royal kingdom! He has commissioned us to rule now! Reign with him now! Declare his excellencies now! We govern with Him when we walk in our authority as priests, through prayer! We “suit up” our minds and our hearts when we choose to believe his word, and act on faith through prayer! Let us put on our helmet of salvation! In our mind, we must know and see ourselves as His holy nation, and His royal priesthood.
Fellow Believers, are we “suited up” for battle? Daily, we dress to go to work but are we putting on our “spiritual clothes”? Each day, just as we prepare our physical body for its day of work, we can spiritually put on our heavenly armor, by believing his word and speaking our identity onto ourselves.
The Priests of the Old Testament were allowed into the Holy of Holies to pray and petition God. Now, through the ransomed blood of Jesus, that holy veil is torn and the spirit of the living God now resides in us! We, His Chosen, are His Priests! There is no middleman! Let’s suit up and advance His kingdom!
Turnaround Questions
Are you living by faith as a Royal Priesthood, a Holy Nation? Are you suiting up, daily, with your identity in Christ to advance his kingdom here on this earth? Are you declaring His excellencies of the One who brought you out of darkness and into His marvelous light?
Prayer
Abba Father thank you for your son Jesus Christ that by his work on the cross he paid the ransom of our sins. It is written that we are chosen! We are a royal priesthood! A holy nation! We join you Father God and proclaim that we are your people! And you are our God! We rejoice because our name is written in the book of life! We love to declare your mighty deeds for it reminds us to walk in our priestly authority. Jesus lives in us and gives us courage to use our authority as Jesus did. We choose to open our mouths and speak and declare of Your goodness and Your might! May we be known by the world for our loving-kindness! In Jesus’ powerful name, Amen.
