Welcome to The Turnaround’s 52 Days of Prayers!
Introduction
Welcome to day 19. Today’s focus is on remembering and proclaiming the mighty works of God. Psalm 78 reminds us that we are not to forget what God has done, but instead, we are to pass down these stories of His power, grace, and mercy to future generations. Forgetting God’s works can lead to a lack of trust and disobedience, but remembering strengthens faith and fosters obedience.
Insight
The theme of “forgetting not God’s works” is central to Psalm 78. The psalmist calls the people of Israel to remember and recount the mighty deeds of God; warning that forgetting these stories could lead to a faltering faith. Throughout history, the Israelites had moments of forgetfulness, where they turned from God because they had lost sight of His past faithfulness.
We are not much different today. It’s easy to become consumed by the challenges of the moment and forget how God has worked in the past. But when we remember His works—His miracles, His provision, His mercy—it renews our faith and inspires us to trust Him in the present and future.
Psalm 78 reminds us that sharing these stories is not just a personal task but a generational one. We are called to teach future generations about the wonders of God so they, too, will remember and trust in Him. This passing down of faith is crucial for maintaining a strong and vibrant relationship with God.
Forgetting God’s works diminishes our ability to trust in Him, but when we actively remember and proclaim His deeds, we strengthen not only our own faith but also the faith of those around us.

Prayer
God, we thank You for Your mighty works throughout history and in our own lives. Help us never to forget the miracles, the blessings, and the deliverance You have provided. Open our eyes to see Your hand in all things, and give us the courage to proclaim Your goodness to others. As we remember Your works, may our faith be strengthened, and may we be faithful in passing down these stories to the next generation. Help us to be a people who do not forget, but always remember and declare Your praise. Guide us, Father, as we seek to keep Your commandments and trust in You alone. Help us to seek your face, and please heal our Land.

Amen.
