Introduction

Welcome to the 47th day of prayer. Our focus is the power of agreement. When two or more agree concerning anything that they ask, it will be done by our Heavenly Father. Come agree with us as we pray for His people and our nation. 

Insight

In order to pray effective prayers, we must both hear and learn what God’s plan is for us here on earth. We know his original design was continual fellowship with Him. Jesus has made that possible by taking away the sin factor in the shedding of his perfect blood. He positioned us at his right hand where he rules and ever intercedes for us. (Ephesians 2:6) Then he sent the Holy Spirit to guide our prayers; so we hit the mark.

Some of the most powerful prayers are prayers made in agreement. In this plan we join with others as the Holy Spirit orchestrates a symphony of prayer. Here in Matthew, we see the greek word sumphoneo, to be harmonious. It’s not a surprise that the Greek word symphônes—an agreement of sound—is where we get our word symphony. This can be with believers all over the world or sitting next to us in a prayer group. When we come into agreement with each other for God’s plan to take place, the answer will come. It is a promise, it’s done. I’ve seen this happen over and over in my 70+ years of life.

The more we join with other believers in prayer and pray those powerful prayers the more we will see his kingdom come and will be done on earth as it is in heaven. The prayer bowls in heaven are filling up! (Revelation 5:8)

Prayer

Our Father we come before you in the name of Jesus, joining together with believers all over the world, with the great cloud of witnesses in heaven, with angelic hosts and Holy Spirit to pray your kingdom come, your will be done on earth for our nation, that you will be exalted above all. We pray for the return to righteousness in this nation. We ask for an outpouring of Holy Spirit and a return to your heart and purpose that we might be like a city on a hill and a light to the world. We pray the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into the fields. Awaken your people Lord to the destiny you have called us to. In Jesus name. Amen.
